Trainee Process Engineer

 

Job Location:              Tower Park, Poole, Dorset

Job Type:                     Permanent

Salary:                          £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on level of experience

Hours:                          37.5 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.00pm & Friday 7.30am – 1pm

 

We are working with a well-known manufacturing company who are looking to recruit a Trainee Process Engineer to join their team.

 

This is a very varied and busy role that plays a pivotal position within the company where you will be required to multitask, whilst working with all the departments within the company helping them with technical support.

 

You will gain a lot of training, guidance and support within this role to help you.

 

What we are looking for is someone with lots of enthusiasm, willingness to learn, excellent communication skills, whether it be face to face, over the phone or via email.

 

This role would suit someone who either has got technical experience within a manufacturing company and looking now to apply these in a new position , a recent graduate looking now to apply the knowledge learned into a working environment or someone who is looking for the next step in their career off the shop floor and into a more technical role.

 

Some of the duties within the role will include:

 

  • The production and upkeep of documentation and work instructions
  • The set up and maintenance of production machines
  • Responding to queries from customers and all other areas of the company
  • Working with the engineering team to determine production best practices
  • Technical support for the commercial team and customers
  • Updating parts lists and creating job sheets on the system
  • Helping with production and support the business in all areas as required whether that be hands on, in the office, within engineering, anything at all to support the business.

 

What personal attributes are required for this role?

 

  • Good use of computers with a good knowledge of Excel (experience of an MRP system would be advantageous)
  • Confident and cheerful telephone manner
  • Positive and flexible attitude to work
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Keen to learn new skills
  • A good attitude towards teamwork
  • The ability to use your own initiative but also know when matters need to be referred to a superior
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Work well under pressure
