Production Manager
Job Location: Milborne St Andrew, Dorset
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + Excellent benefits
Hours: 4 days per week!
Monday – Wednesday 7.30am – 6pm
Thursday 7.30am – 5pm
A leading UK-based manufacturer in Dorset is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their growing team. The business designs, manufactures, and delivers bespoke off‑site buildings using advanced composite panel technology, incorporating up to 98% recycled plastic.
Working with a range of high‑profile clients across the UK, the company supplies durable, low‑maintenance structures including lifeguard stations, leisure buildings, and accommodation units. They are proud of their craftsmanship, quality, and strong commitment to sustainability, delivering genuinely innovative building solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on leadership of the production team (approximately 25 staff, ranging from apprentices to skilled operatives)
- Planning, managing, and delivering production schedules to ensure orders are completed on time and efficiently
- Overseeing quality control across all manufactured products
- Managing procurement activities
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
For this role you will have;
- Previous experience in a production management role
- Ideally you will come from a manufacturing background, any experience in composites or modular building manufacturing is advantageous
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to mentor, develop, and motivate a diverse team
