Internal Sales Estimator
Job Location: Poole, Dorset
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on level of experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.30pm & Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm
Benefits: 20 days holiday + bank holidays, Pension, free parking
A local engineering company who are growing year on year are currently recruiting for an Internal Sales Estimator on a permanent basis to join their friendly, busy and hardworking team based in Poole.
The company have been established for over 50 years and supply into a variety of industries including automotive, industrial and aerospace.
This is an important position that will see you working not only with the customers but also other internal departments and colleagues to help produce accurate quotations for new and existing customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and providing quotations
- Following these quotes up with the customer to progress them into a working order
- Processing sales orders via the inhouse system
- Assisting with customer enquiries including updates on order progress, product information, lead times, costs and deliveries
- Contacting customers to follow up after order delivery & check receipt
- Maintain regular contact with customers to find out any future requirements
- Liaising with various departments around the business including production and purchasing
We are looking for applicants to possess:
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Be technically minded or have come from a technical / engineering background to be able to understand, interpret and work from drawings
- Confident using computers to log information
- Have an excellent attention to detail
- Be well organised, reliable, and able to work to deadlines
